It seemed like only yesterday when James Zabiela was the hot new kid in super-clubland, the protégé of Sasha and John Digweed who wowed crowds with cutting-edge technology – CD turntables! How times have changed. Zabiela has stayed ahead of the curve with progressive and tech-house sets that integrate the latest in laptop, DVD and video-mixing gear. Still, it will feel a little like the passing of the torch when the newest kid on the block, producer Deadmau5 (“Deadmouse”), warms up for the veteran. Hear the seasons change Saturday at Vanguard.
